How to Get Involved
“Ol’Loreece” (pronounced Ol-Lo-Reese) may sound like a nonsense word, but the foundation’s name is anything but meaningless. Founder Jean Braxton chose the name from a word created by her oldest son, who passed away October 2012 from heart disease. He created the word by combining his grandmother, niece and nephew’s names and the result Ol’Loreece and the stuck in the Braxton family.
The Ol’Loreece Foundation is proud to be an advocate for health and especially working toward bridging the gap between Men and Women’s health by creating an event, Permission to Talk: Medicine and Music, an event aimed at getting and keeping people healthy by informing, supporting and educating. Good Health begins with Knowledge.
